‘Time To Bench Him’ ‘He Plays Like He Isn’t Interested’ Fans Call On Ten Hag To Drop United Player

Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford was very poor before being substituted in the 1-0 defeat to Crystal Palace at the weekend.

The England international made 1 or 2 decent runs in the first half but he faded badly, and he was deserved replaced by Christian Eriksen 15 minutes before the end of the game.

Unsurprisingly, many fans on X are now calling on manager Erik ten Hag to drop Rashford ahead of their next match against Galatasaray on Tuesday evening:

Rashford’s form has dropped off a cliff this season

The 25-year-old has scored just 1 goal in all competitions so far this campaign, and that came in the 3-1 defeat to Arsenal at the start of last month.

Since then, Rashford has started three successive league games, without contributing anything in front of goal. It is not just his output that is concerning but his overall demeanour, with the forward looking visibly dejected during the loss to Palace on Saturday.

Which United players could replace Rashford?

Alejandro Garnacho would be the favourite to take the forward’s place on the left wing but, it must be said, that the young Argentine’s form has been pretty inconsistent this season as well.

Obviously, ten Hag can’t call upon Jadon Sancho, who has been frozen out of the first team, but the Dutchman could also consider Mason Mount, who may be better suited to playing in a more advanced role. We shall see who starts at Old Trafford tomorrow night.
