United Hold Strong Interest In £88M Bundesliga Star But Deal Is Being Delayed By Takeover Talks

Manchester United are very keen on signing Eintracht Frankfurt forward Randal Kolo Muani, according to Sport Bild (via Sport Witness).

The Red Devils made enquiries for the France international during the January transfer window and they are expected to revive their interest at the end of the season.

However, it is believed that takeover talks could delay any attempt to secure Muani’s signature. Frankfurt are hoping to receive around €100m (£88m) for the striker, and such a large sum of money would need to be signed off by United’s next owners.

Other teams, including Chelsea and Liverpool, have also been mentioned as potential suitors, so manager Erik ten Hag would be hoping to have the deal sealed as soon as possible.

With the bidding process for United dragging on into a third round, though, it seems a move for Muani is in limbo at the moment. The 24-year-old has been in great form this campaign, scoring 19 goals and providing 14 assists in 38 appearances for Frankfurt.
