‘That’s Actually Fire’ ‘Classic Look To It’ Fans React To Images That Purportedly Show United’s New Home Kit

A picture that apparently shows Manchester United’s new home kit for the 2021/22 season has been doing the rounds online.

The vintage design from Adidas is shown with the club crest and the manufacturer’s logo in the middle, with no club sponsor, and the classic style has gone down well with most fans on Twitter:

The absence of the club sponsor isn’t that surprising considering United’s sponsorship with Chevrolet runs out midway through next season, with TeamViewer taking over in January.

Adidas’s decision for the sparse design is, however, still very interesting. The last time they put the club crest in the middle of the kit was during the 1984/85 season, but even then, the Adidas logo was on the shoulder.

It is, therefore, a pretty unique United kit, and it will be interesting to see if the image does turn out to be an accurate representation of the new home shirt.
