Manchester United midfielder Casemiro was probably lucky to stay on the pitch in the defeat to Brighton on Thursday evening.
The Brazilian was already on a yellow card for a foul on Alexis Mac Allister, when he made another challenge on Moises Caicedo in the second half that could easily have been a second bookable offence.
Casemiro’s indiscipline is not something that many complain about when he is playing well but his all-round game has been pretty poor in recent weeks and some fans on Twitter are now worried about his form:
He's been off the boil for for several weeks imo

He has been shocking this past few games. It’s time for this to be talked about

Dreadful

Casemiro has lost his spark, a strong midfield is crucial away from home, both Bruno and Casemiro were awful.

has been dodgy since suspension
but form comes and goes but class is permanent
I trust him to be back to his best

As some supporters mention, you could make a case that the 31-year-old hasn’t quite been himself since he returned from his last suspension. Considering his well-earned reputation, though, you would still think that this is a blip rather than anything more serious.
Erik ten Hag’s side will be taking on West Ham at the London Stadium this weekend and the Red Devils will need Casemiro to be at his best so they can get the three points.
