Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has confirmed that Anthony Martial, Jesse Lingard, Luke Shaw and Harry Maguire will all face late fitness tests ahead of tonight’s Carabao Cup semi-final clash against Manchester City.

Martial, Lingard and Shaw missed the weekend’s FA Cup tie versus Wolves due to illness while Maguire is struggling to overcome a knock he picked up in the second half at Molineux.

United also have three other players on the sidelines. Paul Pogba is recovering from an operation on his ankle which will keep him out for a few more weeks.

Scott McTominay has been ruled out for a few months after the knee injury he picked up in the win against Newcastle last month, while Axel Tuanzebe continues to struggle with a hamstring injury.

Marcos Rojo is not being considered for selection ahead of a potential switch away from Old Trafford, while both Eric Bailly and Timothy Fosu-Mensah are in light training as they step up their rehabilitation from long term knee injuries.
