Manchester United left-back Luke Shaw was given the runaround by Arsenal winger Nicolas Pepe in the 2-0 defeat to the Gunners last night, and his performance has not impressed fans.
Following Brandon Williams‘ excellent display against Burnley, many were surprised that Shaw was recalled for the trip to the Emirates and supporters on Twitter have not held back in their criticism of the 24-year-old:
He's actually useless!

You can understand why manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer wants to rotate during a busy fixture schedule, but Williams has demonstrated in recent weeks he is very much up for the challenge in big games.
The teenager has shown he is in much better form than Shaw at the moment, and he would have been more than deserving of a starting spot against Arsenal.
Shaw’s performances will be a concern to Solskjaer and while there are some mitigating circumstances in that he has been out for several months with a hamstring problem, he has now been fit for the best part of a month. The left-back could well be dropped for the game against Wolves this weekend.
