Manchester United have been scouting Eintracht Frankfurt striker Sebastien Haller, according to reports in the English media.
The 24-year-old scored 15 goals in the Bundesliga last season and is being lined up as a potential replacement for Romelu Lukaku.
Haller partnered Luka Jovic up front for the German club and United fans on Twitter are asking why the club didn’t target his strike partner instead:
Not even the best striker for them last year

So we sign frankfurts second best striker rather than competing for their best one who’s just gone. Woodward that

This can’t be true. Why I say this is because Haller is a striker who thrives on crosses / corners and set piece deliveries.@ManUtd hasn’t had a decent player who can cross the ball or take corners / set pieces since David Beckham.
If this link is true then I have no words tbh

It is believed United’s interest in Haller is very much dependent on whether Lukaku is sold to Inter Milan.
The Nerazzurri are said to be interested in the Belgian international but may well be put off by the Red Devils’ £80m asking price.
United reportedly had scouts monitoring Haller during Frankfurt’s progress to the Europa League semi-finals.
Whether the forward would be an upgrade on Lukaku, it is debatable. The Frenchman has been linked with Everton and Norwich in the past, as well as West Ham more recently.
