Inter Milan manager Antonio Conte is keen on signing Manchester United striker Romelu Lukaku this summer, according to the BBC‘s Simon Stone.
The football reporter tweeted that the Nerazzurri are also interested in Alexis Sanchez but see a move for Lukaku as more realistic financially:
The view has been Conte would want Lukaku (as he did at Chelsea) when he returned to management. View at Inter is that Lukaku more realistic financially for them than Sanchez. As Lukaku kept being left out, I assume OGS would be open to sale BUT sums need to work.

Fans on Twitter would happily see both players leave this summer for the right price:
I d take 60m for both in a heartbeat. Woodward won’t though. His ego is above the good of the club..

Icardi + 70mil and take both

I have no idea why we’re not letting him go for £50m. Don’t care what we spent on him, just recoup £50m which is reported and spend it straight away on a better replacement.

Swap for Icardi?

So if he goes someone has to come in right? Can’t be depending on Rashford, Greenwood, Martial to do the job. Even with all the criticism Lukaku scores a decent amount of goals. Hope we will get a good replacement of Lukaku if he is allowed to leave.

Straight swap for Skriniar if they can’t afford to buy him.

Conte has already been asked about the pair, with the former Chelsea boss batting away questions by saying reporters should ask his sporting director Piero Ausilio.
Lukaku was a target for Conte in 2017 when he was manager at Stamford Bridge, but the Belgian opted for a move to Old Trafford.
Chelsea went on to sign Alvaro Morata from Real Madrid instead, but neither transfer has really worked out for either club.
Morata was loaned out to Atletico Madrid in January while Lukaku scored just 12 goals in 32 Premier League appearances last season.
