Manchester United midfielder Bruno Fernandes has been ruled out of the game against Tottenham on Thursday evening due to an ankle injury, according to reports.
The Portuguese international picked up the issue during the FA Cup semi-final win over Brighton at the weekend, and he has subsequently been pictured with a protective boot.
Unsurprisingly, fans on Twitter are very disappointed about the injury setback, but some do believe United can cope without Fernandes for the Spurs game:

It should be pointed out that Fernandes is also a major doubt for the clash versus Aston Villa on Sunday, which will raise further alarm bells.
The midfielder played through the injury before being taken off in extra time against Brighton, so it will be hoped that he hasn’t done further damage that will keep him out for a longer period.
It will be up to the likes of Marcel Sabitzer, Fred and Christian Eriksen to fill in while Fernandes is absent.
