Manchester United V Sheffield United: Match Preview, Predicted XI And Betting Odds

Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer would have been satisfied with some aspects of the performance in the draw against Tottenham on Friday, but he will be hoping his team are sharper in front of goal when they face Sheffield United tomorrow night.

Chris Wilder’s side are coming off the back of a disappointing 3-0 defeat to Newcastle, but they are still only two points behind the Red Devils heading into the game at Old Trafford.

In terms of team news, United should have Victor Lindelof fit for the game. The Swedish international limped off late on versus Spurs but he has been pictured in training this week. Axel Tuanzebe and Phil Jones both remain on the sidelines.

Manchester United’s Predicted XI To Face Sheffield United:

De Gea, Wan-Bissaka, Lindelof, Maguire, Shaw, Pogba, Fernandes, McTominay, Greenwood, Martial, Rashford.

The Blades will be without key defender John Egan who was sent off for two bookable offences against the Magpies. Dean Henderson is ineligible to play against his parent club while three players are facing late fitness tests.

David McGoldrick and Jack O’Connell both have knee injuries, while Phil Jagielka is struggling with a twisted ankle after picking up the issue in the defeat to Newcastle.

Sheffield United’s Predicted XI:

Moore, Baldock, Basham, Retsos, Robinson, Stevens, Berge, Norwood, Lundstram, Mousset, McBurnie

At the bookmakers, United are the favourites to get the three points with Betfair pricing them at 1/2. A draw is 7/2 with Betfred while a Blades victory is 8/1 at William Hill.

Predicted Score – 2-0 to United
