Wout Weghorst Makes Bold Trophy Vow After United Secure Carabao Cup

Manchester United striker Wout Weghorst is hoping that the Red Devils can win even more trophies this season after winning the Carabao Cup at the weekend.

Erik ten Hag’s side secured their first silverware of the campaign with a 2-0 win over Newcastle but Weghorst says he is hungry for more titles:

“There’s a great feeling within the club, within the team, the lads together. I mean, to be honest, it’s something special to notice this. We win the first one now and still three to go so, yeah, hungry for more.”

United host West Ham in the fifth round of the FA Cup on Wednesday night, so the team will need to recover quickly from their Wembley trip to secure their passage through to the quarter-finals.

It won’t be long either before they take on Real Betis in the last 16 of the Europa League. The first leg will be held on Thursday week at Old Trafford before the return fixture in Spain a week later.

The Premier League is probably a long shot. Ten Hag’s men are currently eight points behind league leaders Arsenal but it is too early to rule them out of the title race just yet.
