‘Why Would We Want Him At All?’ ‘This Wouldn’t Be A Wise Move’ Fans React As United Are Linked With Bid For Chelsea Contract Rebel

Manchester United will seriously consider making an offer for Chelsea midfielder Mason Mount if he becomes available this summer, according to reports in England.

The 24-year-old is out of contract at the end of next season but he has yet to agree a new deal, prompting speculation that he could leave Stamford Bridge.

After hearing that United may be genuine contenders to sign Mount, the vast majority of fans on Twitter were very sceptical about the move:

It’s fair to say that Mount has had a rather poor season so far, having scored just three goals in 32 appearances, and the fact that he could still cost as much as £60m has raised serious questions about his value.

Of course, it’s likely that his performances have been affected by his contract situation and, if he returns to the form he has shown in previous campaigns, the England international would probably be a decent purchase. Most supporters are, however, clearly less than convinced.
