Wes Brown Makes His Prediction As Manchester United Take On City

Ex-Manchester United defender Wes Brown is expecting his former club to come out on top when they face Manchester City in the derby tomorrow evening.

The former England international says he feels it will be a pretty open affair, with neither side keeping a clean sheet, but he thinks that the Red Devils will just edge the encounter:

“They’re always special occasions and it doesn’t matter who is in form and who isn’t. I reckon both teams will score this weekend. I’m going to go with a 2-1 win for Man United.”

Based on the two sides’ form, Brown is probably being a bit optimistic, to be honest with you. United were woeful for large parts of the game against RB Leipzig on Tuesday night, and they will be facing a City team who are just beginning to show signs of life after a difficult start to the season.

As Brown says, though, it is a derby and, even without fans at Old Trafford, you would expect this to be a very competitive game nonetheless, with the result decided on the finest of margins.
