Rennes midfielder Eduardo Camavinga is not a priority target for Manchester United this summer, according to the Guardian‘s Fabrizio Romano.
Reports in the French press have suggested that the Red Devils will hold talks with the 18-year-old’s entourage about a potential transfer but it doesn’t seem like a move to Old Trafford is likely, at this stage. Fans on Twitter are not happy about this latest development:
This is an important signing for United we should make it happen so that Pogba can be more free to boost our attacking levels

What is the price being mooted around for this kid ? Do we think he’s an option if donny goes and I hope Matic is off ( need Jose to take him to the retirement home league )

This shouldn’t be related or dependent on their situations. Camavinga can play CDM.

What’s wrong with having Pogba, Camavinga and Van De Beek

See this is why we’re doomed to fail, why are we not hellbent on getting a specialist CDM in(?

Camavinga is said to favour a move to Paris Saint-Germain anyway, and while there is believed to be interest in the teenager from United, Arsenal, Chelsea and Real Madrid, it is thought he is keen on staying in France.
Even if United don’t pursue a move for Camavinga, though, it doesn’t rule out the Manchester club from going after other holding midfield players. The likes of West Ham’s Declan Rice and Atletico Madrid’s Saul Niguez have also been mentioned as possible targets in recent weeks.
