United’s £115m Pursuit Of England Ace Takes A New Twist

Borussia Dortmund winger Jadon Sancho would be open to re-signing for Manchester City if it means he can return to England this summer, according to reports in the UK.

The 20-year-old left the Etihad for Germany three years ago, after rejecting a new contract to stay in Manchester, but he is said to be very keen on returning to the Premier League.

United are still believed to be leading the race for Sancho, with Chelsea and Liverpool also reportedly watching developments, but if the Red Devils are unable to agree a fee for the winger, they may lose out to their fierce rivals for the player.

Dortmund are said to be demanding £115m for the England international, which only a few clubs will be able to pay. One of those will be City but their transfer spending this summer will likely be dependent on a decision next month.

The Court of Arbitration for Sport are currently deliberating on City’s two-year ban from European competitions handed to them by UEFA. A verdict is expected in July.
