Manchester United transfer target Michael Olise has been ruled out for two months with a hamstring injury.
The Frenchman had only recently returned from a similar injury but he was sent on at half-time during Crystal Palace’s 4-1 defeat to Brighton and lasted just 11 minutes before suffering a recurrence.
Olise is known to be on the Red Devils’ radar and, when asked whether the club should make a move for the player at the end of the season, most fans on X were against the idea:
He’s too injury prone 😭

We should be looking at Pedro Neto

Stay clear – we can’t keep trying to succeed with injury prone players – surely Martial and Jones are the prime examples

Nico Williams or Pedro Neto are better options imo

Nico is better, Neto too….Olise is made of glass but more expensive . United should not go anywhere near him.

Olise’s release clause has attracted interest from other clubs
The 22-year-old signed a new contract last summer which is said to include a buyout clause. Reports initially claimed that the fee needed to sign the player was £60m.
However, transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has subsequently stated that the figure is “less than” that. It is believed that United could be tempted to make a move for Olise due to his price tag, but they are not the only club interested. Both Chelsea and Arsenal are also thought to be among his suitors.
Could United consider alternative targets?
Due to Olise’s fitness problems, it would be a surprise if the Red Devils haven’t looked at other targets too. Athletic Bilbao’s Nico Williams is another option who could be considered.
The Spanish international is a similar age to Olise and he has also had a good season so far, scoring 5 goals and providing 10 assists in 24 appearances.
