United Named Among 3 PL Clubs Who Could Table Bid As Agent Reveals £85M Winger Could “Leave” Serie A Giants

The agent of Napoli winger Khvicha Kvaratskhelia has opened the door to the player leaving the Serie A champions at the end of the season.

Speaking in a recent interview about the Georgian international, his representative Mamuka Jugeli said:

“As for the future, we are talking to the club, we will see what will happen. He will leave if another club presents an offer that the management will not be able to refuse.”

Reporting on the comments, Italian website TMW named Manchester United, Chelsea and Liverpool as potential destinations for Kvaratskhelia.

They claim that the three Premier League clubs will have “looked at” the player’s situation at Napoli with a great deal of interest.

Why is Kvaratskhelia considering a move away from Napoli?

It is believed that negotiations over a new deal have stalled. The 23-year-old is still on the contract he signed when he first arrived in Italy at the start of last season, and there is a feeling that he should be rewarded with a wage rise for his performances.

However, it now appears that Kvaratskhelia will be available this summer. It remains to be seen whether United will pursue his signature. He is a left winger by trade and the club already have the likes of Marcus Rashford and Alejandro Garnacho who can play in that position. Considering how much the Georgian may be sold for, it may not be seen as a worthwhile purchase.

How much would it cost United to sign him?

TMW believe that Napoli won’t consider anything below “three figures”, which means €100m or £85m. For a player of the Georgian international’s calibre, it is a pretty reasonable amount.

That price may also attract other teams. Paris Saint-Germain have been mentioned as another possible suitor, although they are also said to be keen on his Napoli teammate Victor Osimhen.
