Agent Of 14 Goal Striker Has Held ‘Talks’ With United, Chelsea And Arsenal About £77M Summer Move

The agent of Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic has held talks with Manchester United, Chelsea and Arsenal, according to Calciomercato.com.

The Italian website claims that Darko Ristic has spoken to all three Premier League teams about signing the Serbian international, while he is also hoping to hear from Bayern Munich, Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid.

However, none of the clubs see Vlahovic as a priority target. The forward, who scored 14 goals in all competitions last campaign, is on the shortlist of many clubs but he is not currently the number one option for any of them.

Calciomercato report that Juve want as much as €90m (£77m), including add-ons, for the 23-year-old, and that may have something to do with the fact that no formal offers have been made.

United are currently focused on other targets

While it was widely reported before the end of the season that a new number nine was the top priority for Red Devils boss Erik ten Hag, things have turned out slightly differently.

Time was first devoted to securing the services of Chelsea’s Mason Mount after it became clear that the England international’s preferred destination was Old Trafford.

Issues with David De Gea’s contract mean that United have now had to turn their attention towards recruiting a new goalkeeper, with talks underway to sign Andre Onana from Inter Milan.

Could a move for Vlahovic be revisited later in the summer?

You can’t rule out United making an offer for the Serbian before the transfer window closes in August but there is a feeling that other forwards may be pursued first.

The dream signing would probably be Napoli’s Victor Osimhen, although his valuation may price ten Hag’s side out of a move. Eintracht Frankfurt’s Randal Kolo Muani and Atalanta’s Rasmus Hojlund are the other names being considered and, at the moment, it appears bids for those two players are more likely than one for Vlahovic.
