United Told They Could Be Getting Their Very Own Haaland If They Step Up Chase To Sign 67M Poacher

Manchester United may get a similar player to Erling Haaland if they do make a move for Juventus’s Dusan Vlahovic, according to journalist Dean Jones.

Reports in recent days have suggested that the Serbian international is on United’s shortlist of targets as they look to strengthen their options up front and Jones feels he could be an excellent addition to Erik ten Hag’s squad:

“Vlahovic is a bit like Haaland. He is just unbelievable with what he can do – his positioning, his runs and his style of play. His confidence, at times, is ridiculous.”

Juve beat Arsenal to Vlahovic’s signature in January earlier this year, paying a fee that could reach €80m (£67m), but the Serie A club may consider selling the striker at the end of the season if they don’t qualify for the Champions League.

The 22-year-old’s goal record is pretty decent, having racked up eight goals in 15 appearances this season. However, some have questioned his all-round game.

Like Haaland, Vlahovic is excellent when presented with chances and he has good instincts in front of goal, but he doesn’t contribute much in build-up play. Whether that is the type of striker ten Hag wants, it remains to be seen.
