Red Bull Salzburg’s Benjamin Sesko and Juventus’s Dusan Vlahovic top the list of potential replacements for Manchester United’s Cristiano Ronaldo, according to the Daily Telegraph‘s Mike McGrath.
The reliable journalist claims that the Red Devils are keeping tabs on both strikers, although it is believed that other names are also being looked at:
#ManUtd plan for life beyond Cristiano Ronaldo by looking at strikers. Long-term admirers of Benjamin Sesko (pre-contract Leipzig ’23) and keeping eye on Dusan Vlahovic but others to be considered https://t.co/NOTrQE29Zh

As McGrath points out, Sesko is expected to join RB Leipzig in the summer for £20m but there have been some suggestions that the Bundesliga side could be interested in offloading the player for a profit straight away. Chelsea have also been linked with the Slovenian, though, so there could be a battle for the forward‘s signature.
Vlahovic joined Juve back in January for a fee that could rise to €80m (£70m). The Serie A side beat Arsenal to snap up the Serbian but, if they miss out on the Champions League this season, they may have to offload the striker. With both deals looking rather complicated, we shall see who ends up being United’s number one target next summer.
