Manchester United are “still interested” in securing the services of Atletico Madrid forward Joao Felix, according to Cadena SER.

The Spanish radio station reports that the Portuguese international is one of four players that Atletico will look to sell during the January transfer window as they look to balance the books.

Felix has been regularly linked with a move to England over the past twelve months. In addition to United, Arsenal, Manchester City and Liverpool have all been credited with an interest in the player.

Cadena SER claim, though, that United are the only team to have previously made a formal approach for the player, having tabled a bid of around €125m (£109m) in the summer.

That figure has never been substantiated by sources in the UK, but it is now believed that Erik ten Hag’s side are not willing to pay anything close to that amount. We shall see how this transfer story develops in the coming weeks.
