United Target Haaland Alternative As They Eye Bundesliga Marksman With 19 Goals In 22 Games

Manchester United are interested in Eintracht Frankfurt striker Andre Silva, according to reports in the German media.

The Portuguese international has been in excellent form this season, scoring 19 goals in 22 appearances, and his performances have attracted the attention of both the Red Devils and Atletico Madrid.

Silva is believed to be a potential alternative for United if their pursuit of Borussia Dortmund’s Erling Haaland ends in failure. Recent reports suggest that the Norwegian international could well stay at Signal Iduna Park for another year.

Whether Silva would be the right choice, though, it is up for debate. The 25-year-old made a high profile move to AC Milan which failed to work out, while his loan switch to Sevilla was equally unsuccessful.

However, he has found a new lease of life in Germany. After scoring 16 goals in all competitions during a season-long loan spell, he was snapped up on a permanent basis by Frankfurt last summer.
