Manchester United will need to see off the likes of Arsenal and Tottenham if they want to land Barcelona forward Ansu Fati next summer, according to reports in the Catalan media.

The Spanish international is one of Barca’s prized assets, having signed a contract in 2020 with a €1billion release clause.

However, Barca’s financial situation, combined with Fati’s limited starting opportunities, may mean that he could be offloaded by the La Liga club at the end of the season for the right price.

The 20-year-old has only started seven league matches this campaign, with manager Xavi having generally favoured the likes of Ousmane Dembele, Raphinha, Ferran Torres and even Gavi in wide areas.

With that being the case, it has been suggested that Barcelona may consider selling Fati if a club offers around €70m (£63m). For a player with such massive potential, that figure could tempt United and others into making a formal approach.
