Amrabat, Varane And Reguilon To Start, Casemiro Out: United’s Predicted XI To Face Sheff Utd

Manchester United will be aiming to secure the three points when they take on bottom-of-the-table Sheffield United this weekend.

The Blades have only picked up a solitary draw from their 8 games so far this season, and Erik ten Hag’s side will be heavy favourites to get the victory at Bramall Lane.

Despite his errors, Andre Onana is expected to start in goal for the Red Devils on Saturday evening. The Cameroon international will have to improve on his recent form, though, if he wants to keep his place in the starting eleven.

Sergio Reguilon has returned to full training after a hamstring injury and the Tottenham loanee is set to start on the left-hand side of defence, with Diogo Dalot taking his position on the opposite flank.

Raphael Varane is also back in contention and the Frenchman is expected to be recalled. Victor Lindelof is likely to play alongside him at centre-half after being deployed as an auxiliary fullback last time out against Brentford. Harry Maguire and Jonny Evans are set to drop to the bench.

Manager Erik ten Hag has some decisions to make in midfield. Scott McTominay’s brace versus Brentford should be rewarded with a starting spot and he could line up alongside Sofyan Ambrabat, who trained on Thursday after suffering an injury scare on international duty. Casemiro is out due to an ankle injury he sustained playing for Brazil.

Mason Mount could start as the no.10, with Bruno Fernandes once again playing off the right flank. Rasmus Hojlund is set to lead the line with Marcus Rashford, who scored for England midweek, lining up on the left wing.

Manchester United’s Predicted XI to play Sheffield United:

Onana, Dalot, Lindelof, Varane, Reguilon, Amrabat, Mount, McTominay, Fernandes, Hojlund, Rashford
