Varane And Mount To Start; Lindelof And Amrabat On The Bench: United’s Predicted XI To Face Burnley

Manchester United will be desperate to get a win under their belt on Saturday evening when they take on Burnley.

Erik ten Hag’s side have suffered three consecutive defeats in all competitions and they will want to get back on track as soon as possible.

Despite his blunder against Bayern Munich, Andre Onana will start in goal at Turf Moor, with Diogo Dalot and Sergio Reguilon retaining their places in the two fullback positions.

The return of Raphael Varane to training means the Frenchman could come straight back into the starting lineup alongside Lisandro Martinez. Victor Lindelof could be dropped.

In midfield, ten Hag has very limited options to change things. Sofyan Amrabat has recovered from a back injury but he hasn’t played a competitive game so far this season so the Moroccan will only be fit enough for the bench.

With Scott McTominay having flattered to deceive when given opportunities as well, it looks as though Casemiro, Christian Eriksen and Bruno Fernandes will line up in the middle of the park once again.

Mason Mount’s return does give ten Hag another option in attack, and there are reports that the England international could be deployed on the right wing, with both Antony and Jadon Sancho unavailable.

It would be harsh on Facundo Pellistri who looked lively against Bayern, but it could be the case that Mount comes straight back into the eleven as part of the front three.

After scoring his first goal for United midweek, Rasmus Hojlund is set to lead the line once more this weekend, with Marcus Rashford taking his customary position on the left flank.

Manchester United’s Predicted XI to play Burnley:

Onana, Dalot, Varane, Martinez, Reguilon, Eriksen, Casemiro, Fernandes, Mount, Hojlund, Rashford
