The Manchester United job “appeals” to outgoing Bayern Munich head coach Thomas Tuchel, according to Sky Germany reporter Florian Plettenberg.
It has been announced that the former Chelsea boss will leave the Bundesliga champions at the end of the season and Plettenberg claims that the German would be interested in replacing Erik ten Hag at Old Trafford:
🚨News #Tuchel: He is definitely taking a look at Manchester United. As reported in our show a few days ago and now confirmed again ✔️
➡️ ManUtd appeals to him in the Premier League
➡️ Tuchel can well imagine coaching #MUFC someday. He doesn’t see his mission in the Premier… pic.twitter.com/Bnfayl3Olj

Supporters on X are not that enthusiastic about the prospect of Tuchel becoming United manager, with many keen on INEOS keeping faith with ten Hag:
He can jog on

INEOS have ambitious plans for United
There is no indication that the club’s new shareholders are considering replacing ten Hag but they are unlikely to tolerate underachievement on the pitch for very long.
INEOS will certainly take note of Tuchel’s interest even if they have no intention of changing their manager at the moment.
Ten Hag needs a strong end to the season
There is no doubt that the Dutchman’s second campaign in charge of United has been a huge disappointment. The Red Devils are currently 6th in the table, 16 points behind league leaders Liverpool.
However, the club’s form has improved in recent weeks and they have put themselves in touching distance of the top four. If United secure Champions League qualification, it may keep ten Hag in his job.
