Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford put in a much-improved performance against Aston Villa on Tuesday evening.
While the likes of Alejandro Garnacho and Rasmus Hojlund deservedly stole the headlines, Rashford played his part in the Red Devils’ comeback from 2-0 down at Old Trafford.
Asked for their thoughts about Rashford on X, most fans were pleased with his contribution. Many felt that the winger played a lot better than he has done in other games recently:
Frustrating at times but miles better than previous games

Rashford was one of the key players who helped turn the game in the second half
The England international had already created a goal for Garnacho, which was ruled out for offside, before he got his assist.
Until he was replaced by Antony with ten minutes to go, Rashford didn’t stop running and he was constantly testing Aston Villa’s right-back Ezri Konsa.
Consistency is key for the United star
Rashford showed what he is capable of against Villa when he plays at his best. It is what we saw from him from most of last season but, for some reason, he hasn’t been able to perform to that level often enough this campaign.
If he can find that consistency and improve his confidence levels in the process, the 26-year-old could still be a key asset for United in the second half of the season.
