United Make Enquiry For Serie A Star As They Look For New Right Back

Manchester United have enquired about signing Napoli right-back Elseid Hysaj, according to reports in the Italian media.

The Red Devils are believed to have had a bid worth £50m rejected by Crystal Palace for Aaron Wan-Bissaka, and they are now seeking out alternatives.

Norwich’s Max Aarons is one possibility but Hysaj would present a more experienced option after being a regular first-team player in Serie A.

The Albanian international has already stated his intention to leave Napoli this summer, after being rotated with Kevin Malcuit by manager Carlo Ancelotti last season.

Hysaj has been heavily linked with Chelsea in the past after previously working under manager Maurizio Sarri at both Empoli and Napoli.

However, it is believed that United’s main rivals for the 25-year-old would be Spanish club Atletico Madrid with manager Diego Simeone looking to freshen up his options at the back.

Hysaj made 35 appearances for Napoli last campaign, scoring no goals and providing two assists.
