United Make Enquiry For SECOND Real Madrid Star After Being Knocked Back In Approach For Vinicius Jnr

Manchester United have asked about the availability of Real Madrid winger Rodrygo, according to Defensa Central. The Spanish website have previously reported that the Red Devils had enquired about his teammate Vinicius Jnr, only for their approach to be given short shrift by the La Liga champions.

It is believed they were handed a similar response when they asked about Rodrygo, with the two Brazilians deemed to be key first-team players by head coach Zinedine Zidane.

There had been more speculation about Vinicius Jnr, considering he only started 12 league games last season, but Rodrygo has featured more prominently since the restart than his fellow countryman.

Following La Liga’s return in June, the 19-year-old was given four starts in the league and was also included in the starting eleven for Real Madrid’s Champions League last 16 second leg tie against Manchester City earlier this month.

United have been looking at a number of alternatives to Jadon Sancho as it has become clear that Borussia Dortmund will not drop their €120m (£108m) asking price.
