United Join Arsenal In Race For 44M Rated Danish Wonderkid As Ten Hag Considers Surprise Choice For New No.9

Rasmus Hojlund is a target for Manchester United

Manchester United have joined a host of top European clubs in pursuing Atalanta striker Rasmus Hojlund, according to reports in the Danish media.

The 20-year-old only moved to Serie A from Sturm Graz in August but his performances have grabbed the attention of scouts.

Arsenal and Real Madrid were both mentioned as potential suitors for Hojlund in the Italian press earlier this week, but it appears that United, Juventus and Napoli are also considering whether to make an approach for the Danish international.

It is believed that Atalanta may demand around €50m (£44m), just months after spending €17m (£15m) to bring the forward to Italy.

United manager Erik ten Hag has made signing a new number nine a top priority for the summer transfer window and it seems that Hojlund’s name has been added to the list of options. We shall see whether he ends up becoming the number one target for the Red Devils.
