Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has confirmed that Mason Mount won’t be available for Thursday’s game against Wolves.

Speaking at his pre-match press conference, ten Hag said the trip to Molineux has come “too soon” for the former Chelsea player.

Mount has not played since the 1-0 win over Luton Town in November due to a troublesome calf injury, and it will be hoped that he will be available for the clash versus West Ham this weekend.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka sat out the 4-2 victory against Newport County in the FA Cup last Sunday due to a knock and the fact that ten Hag didn’t mention him in his press conference suggests the fullback is still unavailable.

It means that Diogo Dalot and Luke Shaw will continue occupying the two fullback positions in Wan-Bissaka’s absence versus Wolves.

Expected Return Date – Sunday 4th February v West Ham

Victor Lindelof still hasn’t returned to full training after a groin operation. Earlier this month, ten Hag said that the Swedish international still needed “weeks” to get back to match fitness.

It may suggest that the centre-half’s comeback will be delayed to sometime in February. It would be a surprise if he is available to play West Ham.

Expected Return Date – Sunday 11th February v Aston Villa

Tyrell Malacia has not played a single minute this campaign after undergoing surgery on his knee over the summer. In December, ten Hag claimed that the Dutchman would be back available in short order but he has still not made the matchday squad.

Anthony Martial, meanwhile, has also been on the operating table to fix a thigh problem. The forward is set to be out for several months and there is a good chance he won’t play again this season.
