United Have Shortlisted 42M Rated Italian Ace As They Consider Antony Alternatives

Manchester United have added Roma winger Nicolo Zaniolo to their shortlist of targets, according to reports in the Italian media.

Erik ten Hag’s side are keen to strengthen their options on the right flank, and it seems as if the Italian international is being considered as a potential alternative to Antony.

The Ajax star has been on United’s radar for a while (with the Brazilian having also been looked at by Liverpool and Chelsea) but his €80m (£68m) valuation has seemingly priced him out of a move this summer.

Zaniolo, on the other hand, is said to be valued at only €50m (£42m) by Roma, making the 23-year-old a more viable target. Even so, a deal is not expected to be straightforward.

Juventus have registered their interest in the winger, and the player’s preference would be to stay in Italy. With that being the case, United may steer clear of making a formal bid for Zaniolo.
