United Expected To Battle Chelsea For 43M Rated France International Defender

Manchester United have joined Chelsea, Atletico Madrid and Juventus among the “interested parties” trying to sign Paris Saint-Germain defender Pascal Kimpembe, according to Goal France.

While it is believed that Chelsea are the ones pressing hardest to secure the France international’s signature, it appears the Red Devils may also get involved in the race to snap up the player.

Earlier this week, it was claimed that PSG’s new sporting director Luis Campos was keen on offloading Kimpembe, with a €50m (£43m) price tag having been slapped on the 26-year-old.

United are thought to be in the market for a left-sided centre-back. They have reportedly made a bid for Ajax’s Lisandro Martinez, while they have a longstanding interest in Villarreal’s Pau Torres.

It’s possible that Erik ten Hag’s side may make a move for Kimpembe if they lose out on Martinez. Arsenal are also pursuing a deal for the Argentinian international.
