United Agree Terms With 30million Defender!

Manchester United have reportedly agreed personal terms with Serge Aurier over a proposed transfer to Old Trafford. The want-away defender has agreed to join the Reds on a 5-year-deal worth around £95,000-a-week, according to reports in France.

Jose Mourinho has not previously stated that he is in the market for another defensive signing, especially a right back, but with Antonio Valencia often having to be rested due to fatigue and Darmian potentially heading away from Old Trafford, it would make perfect sense for the club to chase such a signing.

It is believed that the fee for Aurier could be between £22-30m, which in today’s market is a brilliant piece of business. At only 24, Aurier is rated as one of the best right backs in Europe – but his game time was limited last season due to all manner of different controversies. Now, with PSG signing Dani Alves from Juventus, his playing time is likely to be more scarce.

A respected French news source Paris United claim Aurier has reached a deal with United, saying the right back could make the switch to the Premier League before the start of the new Premier League season once a fee has been agreed between the two clubs.

But there could be a hitch to the transfer. Aurier was refused entry to the UK last year when PSG faced Arsenal in the Champions League, due to an assault charge that hangs over him. It is reported that by August 7th, it will be known whether or not the defender would be allowed to work in the UK – until then, the move could be in the dark.
