All of Manchester United’s new signings played well on their competitive debuts against Chelsea yesterday evening, and Aaron Wan-Bissaka especially showed why the Red Devils splashed out £50m on him.
The 21-year-old was defensively rock-solid in the 4-0 win, winning all of his tackles and making interceptions, as well as providing some good passes for his teammates. Fans on Twitter were very happy with the defender’s performance:

Of course, Wan-Bissaka will need time to develop his game. He still needs to improve, especially in the attacking third of the pitch, but as an out and out defender, he was pretty flawless last night.
The fullback may face more difficult challenges in the weeks and months ahead, but as debuts come, it was right up there with the best of them, and after making such a confident start, he will hopefully kick on when United face Wolves away from home next Monday.
