“There’s Some Talk…” Romano Delivers New Update As United Are Linked With 61M Rated Bundesliga Poacher

Manchester United are not actively pursuing Bayer Leverkusen striker Patrik Schick, according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.

There have been reports this week suggesting that manager Erik ten Hag may consider the Czech international as a potential option to strengthen his forward line but Romano says the Red Devils have made no approach for the player:

“There’s some talk again of Patrik Schick being an option for Manchester United. He was one of the players scouted under Ralf Rangnick, but now there are still no contacts ongoing. I think he’s very talented player, but needs to be more consistent; for sure, he could be a good option for many big clubs in the Premier League.”

Schick scored 24 goals in 27 Bundesliga appearances last season, and it led to him being linked with a €70m (£61m) move to Arsenal. However, the 26-year-old signed a new contract back in May, ending any speculation about his future.

It should be pointed out that the forward has not been particularly prolific this season, having bagged just three goals in 15 matches, so it would be a surprise if United have made him a key target.

PSV Eindhoven’s Cody Gakpo, Atletico Madrid’s Joao Felix, Inter Milan’s Lautaro Martinez and Roma’s Tammy Abraham have also been mentioned as possible options in recent weeks.
