The Top FIVE Bookies Favourites To Be The Next Premier League Manager Sacked

We are now in mid-October and it is surprising that only one Premier League manager has lost their job so far.

It was a surprising decision as well as Watford decided to dispense with the services of Xisco Munoz in order to appoint veteran coach Claudio Ranieri.

There is likely to be more movement on the managerial front over the next few months as some chairmen get itchy feet about their teams’ chances of staying in the top flight.

Press the next page as we name the five managers who are favourites to be sacked or quit their roles at their current clubs.

5) Mikel Arteta (Arsenal)

The Spaniard’s odds have lengthened in recent weeks after the Gunners went on a run of five wins in seven matches, easing the pressure after a woeful start to the campaign.

However, after spending the most money in the transfer market out of all Premier League clubs in the summer, Arteta won’t be given much leeway if his team go on another poor run.

4) Brendan Rodgers (Leicester)

The Northern Irishman is more likely to quit than to be sacked at this stage, amid reports that he could be targeted by Newcastle United.

However, it has been claimed in recent days that Rodgers isn’t interested in moving to St James’ Park so he could drop out of the top five soon.

3) Daniel Farke (Norwich)

The Canaries had not accrued a single point until the draw against Burnley just before the international break, so Farke was always going to be under some scrutiny.

After helping Norwich to two promotions in three years, though, the Norfolk-based club will still be reluctant to give the German his marching orders, considering his past track record.

2) Nuno Espirito Santo (Tottenham)

After winning their first three league games in charge, Spurs has experienced a sharp downturn in form under Nuno in recent weeks.

A disappointing 3-1 defeat to Arsenal in the North London derby caused major concern, although the victory versus Aston Villa last time out would have eased the pressure somewhat.

1) Steve Bruce (Newcastle)

It is definitely the case of ‘when’ rather than ‘if’ Bruce will be sacked by the Magpies following the takeover of the club last week.

Some journalists had tipped Bruce to leave before the Magpies’ match against Tottenham this weekend but, at the time of writing, he remains in his post.
