Sheringham Says He Has The Inside Scoop On Solskjaer’s Future At United

Former Red Devils striker Teddy Sheringham says he believes Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has already been given the Manchester United job on a permanent basis.

The Norwegian is the clear favourite to be in the Old Trafford dugout next season, but his appointment has yet to be confirmed.

However, Sheringham says he has heard from sources inside the Manchester club that Solskjaer will be the United manager come what may next campaign:

“I’ve heard they’ve given it to him already… Last two games [there has been] a bit of a blip but I think he’s been a breath of fresh air, to be honest.”

United suffered a disappointing defeat to Wolves in the FA Cup on Saturday night in what Solskjaer described as the poorest performance since he arrived in December.

It comes quickly off the back of another loss against Arsenal in the league, and the caretaker manager will be hoping for a swift upturn in form after the international break.

United are currently fifth in the table, two points off the top four, and next up, they will play Watford at home on Saturday week.
