Sancho, Wan Bissaka And Elanga To Start, Pogba On The Bench: United’s Predicted XI To Play Middlesbrough

After an extended break, Manchester United return to action in the FA Cup against Championship side Middlesbrough tomorrow evening.

David De Gea is expected to start in goal, having started in the last round against Aston Villa. Aaron Wan-Bissaka is likely to be back in the squad following illness, and he may well be recalled at right-back.

Alex Telles has been on international duty with Brazil so Luke Shaw will come into the team after recovering from a hamstring problem.

In the centre of defence, Victor Lindelof is ill, so you’d expect Raphael Varane and Harry Maguire to keep their places from the win against West Ham last time out.

Fred has also been with the Brazil squad so Scott McTominay and Nemanja Matic may start in central midfield, with Bruno Fernandes starting as the number 10. While manager Ralf Rangnick says Paul Pogba could start after returning to full fitness, he’ll probably be on the bench.

Up front, Jadon Sancho may be given a chance on the right-wing, with Cristiano Ronaldo up front and Anthony Elanga on the left flank.

Manchester United’s Predicted XI To Face Middlesbrough:

De Gea, Wan-Bissaka, Varane, Maguire, Shaw, McTominay, Fernandes, Matic, Sancho, Ronaldo, Elanga
