REPORT: United Target £58m Rated Portuguese Midfield Creator After Fall Out With Manager

Manchester United could target a move for Valencia playmaker Goncalo Guedes in the January transfer window, according to reports in Spain.

The Portuguese international has reportedly fallen out with manager Marcelino after his side lost 2-0 to Real Madrid on Saturday.

Guedes only joined Valencia on a permanent basis in August for £36m, following a year-long loan spell at the Mestalla.

However, this season the 22-year-old has failed to perform with no goals and just one assist in 13 appearances.

Still, it appears United are interested in Guedes. The Manchester club were linked with the midfielder back in July when he was still a PSG player.

Despite his poor form, reports claim that Valencia would demand €65m (£58m) for the Portuguese star; a fee that looks way too steep considering his performances of late.

To reduce the price it has also been suggested that United may use Ander Herrera in part exchange. The midfielder is out of contract in the summer, and while talks with the club over a new deal are reportedly ongoing, the 29-year-old has been linked with a return to Spain.
