REPORT: United Table 17M Bid And Propose 49K A Week Contract To Barca Contract Rebel

Manchester United have offered €20m (£17m) for Barcelona midfielder Ilaix Moriba, according to Fichajes.net. The Spanish website claim that the Red Devils are trying to exploit the fact that the 18-year-old has one year left on his contract at the Camp Nou.

It was reported at the end of last week that Moriba has been told to stay away from pre-season training until he makes his mind up over his future. Barca have proposed a contract offer and the Catalan club want him to sign on the dotted line before he is allowed back.

However, it is believed that the two sides are far apart in regards to personal terms and Fichajes.net report that United have made it known that they are willing to pay Moriba €3m a year (around £49,000 a week).

Whether other teams will make their own bids for the Spaniard, we shall have to wait and see. Chelsea and Manchester City have also been mentioned as potential suitors over the past few months.
