REPORT: United Have ‘Shelved’ Interest In THREE Midfielders Worth A Combined 125M Following Pogba Decision

Manchester United have “shelved” their interest in midfield trio Saul Niguez, Ruben Neves and Eduardo Camavinga, according to the Daily Mail.

The three players were being lined up as potential replacements for Paul Pogba, but after the Frenchman’s move to Paris Saint-Germain failed to materialise, United now feel there is no need to go after another midfielder this summer.

Niguez (valued at £38m), Camavinga (£42m) and Neves (£45m) had all been on the club’s radar in recent months, but the Red Devils had been hesitant about making a move due to Pogba’s situation.

Neves has also been interesting Arsenal so the Gunners now look to be the favourites to sign the Portuguese international, while Niguez and Camavinga have been targeted by Liverpool and Chelsea respectively.

With regards to Pogba’s future, it is believed the 28-year-old is happy to run down his contract at Old Trafford and leave the club on a free transfer for a second time.
