REPORT: United Have Been Scouting £35M Rated Former Chelsea Star Since The World Cup

Manchester United have been keeping tabs on Roma striker Tammy Abraham, according to Il Tempo (via Romapress.net).

The Italian newspaper claims that the Red Devils have had scouts watching the England international since shortly after the World Cup.

Abraham has struggled for form during his second season at Roma, and it has been suggested that the Giallorossi could consider selling the forward they snapped up from Chelsea.

The Blues do have a buyback option on the 25-year-old but that is believed to be worth around €80m (£70.5m). Il Tempo claim his former club may consider re-signing the striker but they will not pay the fee mentioned in the clause.

Roma are said to be more likely to sell for close to the €40m/£35m fee that they paid for Abraham, and that could attract United, in addition to the likes of Aston Villa.

However, considering Erik ten Hag’s side are also pursuing the likes of Harry Kane, Victor Osimhen, Randal Kolo Muani and Rasmus Hojlund, you would have thought that Abraham is quite a way down their list of options.
