Ray Parlour Predicts Where United Will Finish This Season As He Makes Title Claim

Arsenal legend Ray Parlour says he expects Manchester United to finish third behind his former club and Manchester City this campaign.

However, Parlour claims that, with the right additions to the squad this summer, Erik ten Hag’s men will be genuine title contenders for the 2023/24 season:

“I think they’ll certainly be challenging for the title next year but this season I think they will finish third. They will try to chase down Man City and Arsenal, but I think they’ll be third, which will be Champions League football, which will be so important for the club as well. But I think next season, they could have a real go.”

While United supporters will appreciate Parlour’s comments, many will still feel that there is a chance of securing the title this year.

Arsenal may be eight points ahead of the Red Devils in the table, after the Gunners won against Leicester on Saturday, but they have shown some vulnerabilities in recent weeks.

If they go through a bad run between now and May, there remains a possibility that United can get back into contention. Of course, it is a long shot at the moment, and it would require ten Hag’s side to go on a long winning streak, but stranger things have happened in the Premier League.
