Owen Makes His Prediction Ahead Of United’s FA Cup Semi Final Clash Against Chelsea

Ex-Manchester United striker Michael Owen is backing his former club to come out on top when they line up against Chelsea at Wembley tomorrow night.

The Red Devils are going into the game in excellent form, having only dropped four points since the restart, and Owen thinks they will have too much for the Blues:

“United knocked Chelsea out of this competition in the fifth round last season and I think they are going to do it all over again at the semi-final stage this time around.”

“I am going for a 3-1 victory to Manchester United, thereby setting up a mouth-watering showdown between the two Manchester clubs in the FA Cup Final.”

Owen has made a bold prediction but it must be said that United do have the stronger defence and attack heading into the semi-final tie.

It probably won’t be as straightforward as the BT Sport pundit suggests, though. The likes of Christian Pulisic, Olivier Giroud, Willian and Mason Mount will cause problems.

However, at the other end, the absence of N’Golo Kante, combined with Chelsea’s poor defensive record, means the likes of Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford should get some joy, especially if they can maintain their supply line from Bruno Fernandes and Paul Pogba.
