Earlier in January, United’s attempts to sign Erling Haaland were dealt a blow when Borussia Dortmund chief executive Hans-Joachim Watzke said that the Norwegian was unlikely to leave the Bundesliga side at the end of the season.
However, they were given more hope in their long-term pursuit of Haaland’s teammate Jadon Sancho, with reports in France claiming that Dortmund are seeking his replacement. The Red Devils have certainly not been very active in the January transfer window but, considering how well they are playing in the league, they may feel there is no need to make significant changes to the first-team squad.
