Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has suggested that Amad Diallo may make his debut for the club in the next few weeks.
The Ivorian joined from Atalanta for £37m earlier this month but his lack of experience at senior level means he will need some time before he is ready for first-team matches. However, when asked whether the player could see some game time in the next month or so, Solskjaer replied:
“It might be quicker than that, who knows? He’s definitely settled down well. The players have taken to him and he’s a very good character. [He’s] a very good, smily boy who works really hard. He’s doing his sessions and getting used to us, of course. There’s always a period of adjustment needed, but he’s settled in well.”
Solskjaer’s comments have got many fans excited on Twitter, who are keenly anticipating Diallo’s first appearance for the Red Devils:

Cameo against Fulham if we are comfortably in the lead as they will attack and leave space in behind

I think ole was impressed and made up his mind very quickly watching him in his first training session ! I'm excited to see him play in the first team ! Man if he clicks at the RW , would be absolutely amazing honestly.. Could be that missing piece in the puzzle

Ole sounds desperate to play him. I didn't think we'd see him much, but maybe we will. Our right side is such a mess this season

It must be pointed out that the 18-year-old has only played five first-team games in his career so far. The teenager may require a long adjustment period and supporters would be wise not to put too much pressure on him.
Diallo is clearly an exciting talent, though, and from what Solskjaer says, he could be ready for action earlier than most anticipated.
