Manchester United winger Anthony Elanga was given his first-team debut by manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer in the 2-1 defeat to Leicester City last night.
The 19-year-old started the game at Old Trafford before being substituted midway through the second half, and the majority of supporters on Twitter were impressed by what they saw:

He played alright too, would have been better had our midfield had Bruno and Pogba as they could actually pass and make chances for them.

Elanga didn’t stand out as much as his teammate Amad Diallo, but he did still show enough to suggest that he has the potential to perform at the top level.
The Swede was full of energy, and while the pace of the game may have led to him being overawed at times, there were no moments where he looked completely out of his depth.
Elanga may need a bit longer playing in the youth teams, and perhaps a loan spell, before he is ready to become part of the first team setup on a regular basis, but there were certainly some promising signs.
