Lingard And Pereira To Start, James To Stay On The Bench: United’s Predicted XI To Face Wolves

Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solksjaer will be reluctant to change his team following the club’s excellent 4-0 win against Chelsea last week.

It wasn’t a perfect performance by any means, but the strength of their counter-attacking play could hold them in good stead when they face Wolves on Monday night. Daniel James impressed after coming on to score on his competitive debut.

Even so, Solskjaer will likely keep faith with his favoured front three of Anthony Martial, Marcus Rashford and Jesse Lingard. Martial is expected to play through the middle again after scoring against the Blues.

In the backline, David De Gea will almost certainly start in goal, with the same back four likely to be given the nod after not doing anything wrong in the Chelsea win.

Solskjaer could look to tinker with the midfield to combat Wolves’ 3-5-2, but Scott McTominay, along with Paul Pogba and Andreas Pereira all put in good displays last time out and it would be hard to justify dropping any of them.

Manchester United’s Predicted XI To Face Wolves:

De Gea, Wan-Bissaka, Lindelof, Maguire, Shaw, Pereira, McTominay, Pogba, Lingard, Martial, Rashford
