Latest Manchester United Injury Report: Updates On Shaw, Rashford And Bailly

Manchester United left-back Luke Shaw could be out for up to six weeks following the hamstring injury he sustained in the 3-1 win over Everton at the weekend.

The 25-year-old had to be substituted midway through the second half at Goodison Park. He could now miss up to ten fixtures between now and Christmas. Luckily, manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer does have an ideal replacement in Alex Telles who has returned to training after testing negative for the virus.

Marcus Rashford also picked up a shoulder problem on Saturday but it is believed he will be fit to take part in England’s three fixtures this week. Mason Greenwood was left out of Gareth Southgate’s squad but it is not thought to be due to fitness issues. The 19-year-old missed the Everton game due to illness but should be back available when United face West Brom on Saturday week.

Eric Bailly could also be back from injury if his estimated return date is accurate. The Ivorian has not been in a matchday squad since the 4-1 win over Newcastle, with the player expected to return to action in three to four weeks. That would suggest he should be back in training within the next seven days.

United’s only other injury absentee is Phil Jones with the centre-back predicted to make his comeback from a knee injury in December.
